About Me

I am a middle school life science and ELA educator, curriculum materials creator, ed-tech Masters student, and lifelong learner in the Chicago suburbs! I teach at a mid-size suburban middle school in a small district with a highly diverse population of students. I founded and sponsor our school’s Writing Club and Pride Club, a Genders & Sexualities Alliance, and I am additionally involved in several school committees.

I received my Master of Arts degree in Educational Technology & Leadership at Concordia University Chicago in May 2020. Previously, I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, leading to a K-9th grade certification with endorsements in middle school ELA, science, social studies, and music.

My long-term interests include curriculum and instructional coaching at the district level, educating current and future teachers on best practice, playing an active role in shaping education policy, and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of teacher professional development.
